Wink Bingo couple to meet on Saturday
We are pleased to bring you an update on the ongoing matchmaking efforts of Wink Bingo! This matchmaking online bingo site recently hosted the Wink Makes Love promotion in February to celebrate Valentine’s Day and had a great time finding Mr. and Miss Wink.
The promotion started with the search for Miss Wink and with many single women applying for that hallowed position. After a week of receiving hundreds of entries, the voting began with players voting for their favourite contender for the title. Bingo players were allowed one vote per day. In total, 31 women were nominated for the title.
20 year old Abbie Turner-Bevan, who is known by her chat room alias abbie2006, won the title of Miss Wink. Abbie, who is from Shoeburyness Essex, nominated herself and then went about garnering support on the Wink Bingo Facebook Fan page. She won the title by 13 votes gaining a total of 243 votes.
Abbie, who is works in a care home is pursuing a degree in midwifery. She describes herself as a fun loving person with lots of energy who likes reading, socialising with friends and astronomy.
Once Abbie was crowned, next up was the search for Mr. Wink and after a week of voting, James Cancea won the title of Mr. Wink. The 22 year old player from Harrow, Middlesex, whose chat room alias is leedsboi, entered the competition at his friend’s request, for a bit of a laugh. Of the total 8 entries for Mr. Wink, James won by 46 votes and was followed guitarhero with 36 votes.
According to his bio on the popular bingo site, James is a fun loving guy who is up for anything but also has a caring, sensitive side. He is learning to play the guitar and likes football, going out for top class meals and catching a movie. James is looking for someone who wants to have a laugh and a good time and who doesn’t take life too seriously.
His profile obviously touched the right spot as Abbie chose him to be her Mr. Wink from the list of the top 5 contenders. Perhaps it was his statement about looking for someone who likes a good time and a laugh that did it. It was certainly in tandem with what Abbie herself is looking for. In her own words, “I am looking for someone who will make me laugh and who I enjoy spending time with.”
Online bingo fans Abbie and James have a few dislikes in common too – both are repelled by liars and people with a lack of hygiene. Could this be a match made in heaven? This is what all everyone at Wink Bingo has been waiting to find out.
And with the hot first date just around the corner, we will finally get to know if the bingo site has managed to link up the right two soulmates. The two potential lovebirds are set to meet on 13th March and the romantic evening starts at the Revolution Bar in Soho followed by dinner at Eagle Bar and Diner, an American style diner famous for its cocktails.
Will Cupid find its mark? Will Mr and Miss Wink find the sparks flying on Saturday night? Can Wink Bingo now promote itself as a matchmaking site as well as a top notch UK bingo site? Watch this space to find out!
