Emmerdale to be sponsored by Tombola Bingo - Online Bingo News

Emmerdale is one of the longest running soaps on UK TV and it has recently been announced that Tombola Bingo will be sponsoring them come November 2009. The popular community based soap has over 6.5 million viewers every night, something Tombolo Bingo have obviously taken into consideration when deciding to opt for the sponsorship deal.

If you are an Emmerdale fan, you will know that the entire soap is based around the community, which was the main reason Tombola Bingo have decided to associate themselves with Emmerdale, as the bingo website also projects itself as a community based website.

Sponsorship is not a new concept in the bingo industry. Foxy Bingo was the first online bingo website which sponsored the Jeremy Kyle show after Learn Direct left due to controversies. Wink Bingo has, in the past, sponsored the show hosted by Vernon Kay; All Star Family Fortunes, along with The Cube which was hosted by Phillip Schofield. As of last weekend, Wink Bingo is the key sponsor of Harry Hills TV Burp

Clearly the bingo industry sees TV sponsorship as a win-win proposition when sponsoring popular TV program with high viewership numbers. However, the bingo industry does need to take care that the advertisements do not appeal to children and that they are not aired in between children’s programs.

Tombola Bingo has announced that they will be using real life bingo players instead of actors to star in their advertisements that will be shown during Emmerdale ad breaks. Tombola Bingo claims to be ‘Britain’s Biggest Bingo’ site with a very strong online bingo community, the key word being community as that is exactly what Emmerdale is about.

If you want to be a Tombola Bingo TV star, log on to their bingo website, become a registered member and follow the instructions given on the website.
