Wink Bingo have recently grabbed the attention of the British public with their latest TV advertisment depicting the sheer joy experienced by online bingo fans upon winning at the popular bingo site.

Inspired by the famous 'wall and ceiling' dance by Fred Astaire in the 1950's, the bingo advert is staged entirely in a custom-made sitting room with hidden powers. We see a Wink Bingo player win a bingo jackpot on her laptop which causes her break into a spontaneous dance routine. She wiggles with joy and euphoria across the room celebrating her online bingo win, waltzing weightlessly up the walls and across the ceiling in a gravity-defying 360 degree dance of happiness.

Brainchild of young company Spacebar Media, the aim was to achieve a neat mix of reality and magic to demonstrate the jubilant emotions experienced by players when winning online bingo games at Wink Bingo.

Despite a small budget, the decision was made to do things the old-fashioned way in order to maximise the realism. Special effects company Artem designed and built the sitting room set nested in a mechanical roll-over rig that could literally turn the room in a somersault.

Apart from learning her dance moves which must have been quite an experience, the actress just needed to focus on staying upright while the custom-built room rotated around her. The special effect gives the gravity-defying illusion that she can walk on the ceiling with pure happiness from her online bingo jackpot win at Wink Bingo.

Spacebar Media Creative Director Michael Zucker says, "Winkbingo.com is synonymous with winning and celebration. That is why we wanted to create a new type of bingo ad campaign that doesn’t just concentrate on new promotions but gives viewers an idea of how truly magical it feels to win at Wink bingo - so much so that players feel lighter than air. By rotating the actual room to create the illusion that the bingo player was dancing up and down walls and across the ceiling rather than digitally compositing her in post production, we were able to give the advert both a real sense of physicality, and show that the bingo player was really ecstatic about winning."

This latest advert from Wink Bingo can be viewed at the WinkBingo.com website. Initially screened in mid-March, the Wink Bingo advert is called 'Celebration' and will run until the beginning of June.
