Foxy Bingo Charity Drive Raises Huge Sum - Online Bingo News

Last week we reported that Foxy Bingo was introducing a special online bingo game to raise funds for the BBC's Children In Need charity drive. Children In Need is a fantastic organisation that raises money for children for children with disabilities, or who are vulnerable, or who come from impoverished backgrounds.
The Foxy Bingo game was a special jackpot game with a prize of £20,000. The fund raising twist was this: every bingo ticket cost £1, and every single penny of that money was donated to the Children In Need fund.
In essence, Foxy Bingo made absolutely nothing on the deal. By donating the bingo ticket money they were consciously not even trying to cover the prize pool, and were basically trying to encourage their bingo players to donate to an extremely worthwhile cause. For this, if for nothing else, the bingo site should be recognised and commended.
The Foxy Bingo marketing campaign paid off for children who are struggling in this country. Literally thousands of bingo players from all over the UK signed on to the Foxy Bingo website to play the charity game, even the powerful bingo games server was sweating with the extra load. The turnout to support this much-needed cause was extremely touching.
In the end, the charity online bingo game went to a tie finish. Foxy Bingo players Mikeyb73 and Bonkaru2 both hit a Full House simultaneously, and they each walked away with half of the grand jackpot prize each, a healthy £10,000.
As a result of this game, Foxy Bingo executives were able to write a cheque for the princely sum of £12,951 to the Children In Need foundation. Foxy Bingo thanked their players for their support, and for enabling them to make such a generous contribution to a foundation that will benefit generations of British children.
This year's Children In Need drive was a massive success. It was broadcast live on the BBC and was watched by more than 11,000,000 people, with live performances by Take That and McFly. Ultimately the campaign raised a staggering £20,000,000 for charity. This is doubly remarkable when you consider that this has been a hard year for everyone, with many people struggling financially due to the economic pressures of the current climate.
