Playtech sees third-quarter revenues jump - Online Bingo News

Playtech, one of the premiere online gaming software developers, has seen a massive jump in revenues of 81% for its third quarter results.

The company pulled in $26.9 million this year compared to $15 million for the same time last year.  In a very encouraging sign to the online gaming industry as a whole, Playtech says its monthly revenues now exceed those during the time before the US market was shut off due to the implementation of UIGEA.

October actually marked the company’s highest monthly figure ever.

"We are delighted with this quarter's record breaking figures, which clearly demonstrate the growing strength and presence of Playtech within the global gaming sector," a statement from the group said.

Playtech has seen good growth in the Asian market which has helped absorb the impact of the loss of the US market.  A strategy of diversification has been adopted by a number of companies and bingo online operators as a response to the post-UIGEA environment in the online gaming industry.

Playtech is one of the preferred online gaming platforms in the online gaming industry and is popular with a number of online bingo halls and free online bingo games operators.
