Update on 888.com Italian venture - Online Bingo News

Previous reports on Bingo Street that 888.com has launched its online sportsbook option in Italy can now be added to with the information that the venture is being handled in conjunction with Cogetech, a company that is a market specialist for the Italian sector.

Italian regulator AAMS granted 888.com its license to operate as part of a general relaxing of Italy’s online gambling market.  The move bodes well for online bingo games operators and online bingo halls looking to expand in Europe and signals an improving situation in the breaking down of protected industries.

At this time, 888.com’s new website will be restricted to sports-betting and skill games, which means the company could be offering its own online bingo products to the Italian market once the Italian government finalizes its regulations.
