X Factor Semi Finalist not angry after all

X Factor semi finalist Mary Byrne lost out to fellow participant Cher Lloyd in a surprise sing off last night. While the controversy about the fairness of introducing this sing off rages another controversy has been put to rest.

Mary Byrne spoke to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Mark Durden-Smith and said that she was not annoyed with Cher for getting through to the finals while she was eliminated. "I wasn't annoyed, I was actually looking at her to say it's OK and I've seen my face back on the TV and I did look annoyed but I swear to God it was kind of a don't be worrying look."

Mary also talked about the whole sing off controversy which has her fans up in arms. Many believe that the sing off was engineered at the last minute to save 17 year old ‘drama queen’ Cher. Mary was more tolerant as she said  "I think they had to change it because of the way there was four in the finals... do you know what I mean? So I mean they made a decision and it was done and there's not a lot more you can do, I was just so happy to be there."

An X Factor spokesperson however said that the “ decision was made weeks ago."
