Inuit Bingo keeps Community going

Bingo is a widely played game and it seems that it is so widespread and popular it is even played by the Inuit people in the frozen parts Hudson Bay in Northern Canada. The local community centre is a place where scratchcards can be bought and where people get Bingo cards. In a place where the temperature can get to below -40% Celsius, bingo is played on the Radio.  The bingo numbers are called out on the Radio in both English and the Inuit language. Players who have won can call in to the Radio Station to confirm bingo wins. That’s what we call spreading the bingo gospel. Inuit Bingo keeps people entertained and gives them a form of entertainment that would be hard to deliver considering the conditions that they live in.
